Getting Rid of Acne

Getting rid of acne is easier now than it has ever been, yet the knowledge and technology available to get rid of acne is not disseminated to everyone who needs to know about it. Those affected with the symptoms of acne have been trying to get rid of acne forever. Acne Vulgaris or Acne Rosacea can be started under the skin by bacteria forming and gathering to inflame skin pores and surrounding skin cells into conditions of infection, swelling, redness, and pus or immune system response bodily fluids.

Getting rid of acne can be as easy as a trip to the drugstore these days, after decades of hopeless folk cures and drying skin "cures". Years ago, it was believed that greasy foods like chocolate or potato chips could cause acne. These myths have become watered down into dismissed folk wisdom over time. What is possible is that any excess of dirt, oil, and perspiration on the top of the skin layer can create an environment where bacteria collects and grows.

Excesses of alcohol and witch hazel and even peroxide have been used to counteract the symptoms and causes of acne. Today, modern remedies for help getting rid of acne are Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl peroxide, and various internal antibiotics and prescribed oral antibiotics such as Tricyclines and Monocyclines. How to get rid of acne is to apply the necessary topical application of medicine or cream and/or take the prescription the dermatologist recommends. Also used to get rid of acne is an excess of vitamin A in the form of a dermatologist managed treatment called Accutane.

Top dermatologist recommended acne solutions can be topical creams such as Cleocin, or topical solution of Clindamycin. This topical application comes in clear sponge top applicator bottle or as thicker suspension in a cream that comes in a tube. Antiobiotics such as Sumycin and Erythmomycin may be used as oral antibiotics intended to reduce the number of bacteria causing acne viral substances in the body. Avoidance of sunlight and concern for hydration is a special consideration for these applications, as is risk of pregnancy while under treatment and lessened effectiveness of other prescription drugs taken at the same time.
